![]() So the car is running over-rich or there's just a lot of fuel in the cylinders from long cranking times. ![]() Unburnt fuel can mean the AFM was tampered with at some point and not properly calibrated (does it look like either or both have had their top covers popped off and resealed?). Well the check engine light is usually an indicator of a pretty significant vacuum leak in these situations, but not always. A lot of unburnt fuel is exiting out of my exhaust though. It'll rev but only if I apply a little more force to the pedal. If I tap on the gas pedal, the car stalls. But it takes a very long time for it to start now and the idle surges as soon as it turns on then it goes back to normal. ![]() I unplugged the battery for 10 minutes and now my check engine light is gone and it says I have no faults (code 1444). stalling sometimes) and it's idling somewhat normally. ![]() ![]() I put my old AFM back and the car seems to be running like it was before (idle surging. Do you have access to a second ECU either? I'd try that as well and see if anything changes.Yeah, everything is tightened up and so is everything around the throttle body. You sure everything got properly tightened and sealed? All the hose clamps in good shape? What about the knurled fitting that goes into the side of the throttle body? Those get loose over time and can pop out, causing a major vacuum leak. ![]()
